Olana Energy Oy’s energy storage project in Selkiö, located in the municipality of Pieksämäki, reached commercial operation (COD) in Q2/2025.
The 10 MW / 12 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) is connected to the Savon Voima DSO grid and was constructed internally by Olana’s in-house construction team, Olana Energy Construction. The project demonstrates Olana’s capability to deliver high-quality energy storage assets efficiently and independently.
