Olana Energy Oy has made a final investment decision (FID) for a 30 MW / 34 MWh energy storage project in the municipality of Pieksämäki, Finland. The project is currently under construction and is expected to reach commercial operation (COD) in Q3/2026.
Connected to the Fingrid transmission grid, the project marks Olana’s first TSO-level battery energy storage system (BESS) and represents an important milestone in the company’s growing portfolio of large-scale assets.
